Palestinians have been waiting 75 years for the end of Israel’s occupation. If they do not resist now, they will be killed without the world knowing about their tragedy. They will perish as a result of our silence.
For over 75 years, they have been displaced from their land and home, becoming prisoners in their own country. Israel steals their water, takes over their farms, and even kidnaps children in their beds.
Too many innocent Palestinian children are killed as a result of Israel’s 37-day bombing campaign in Gaza. There are over 4000 of them. How many more need to be killed before the world reacts?
Wake up, darling; we do not have enough time to wait for the world to respond. We have to act right now, on our own.
Israel is killing and making children orphaned
Her name is Inas Abu Maamar, and she is the aunt of Saly, a 5-year-old girl. When she heard the bombing, she dashed into her uncle’s house. “When I saw the girl, I lost my conscience. I took her into my arms,” she explained. “The doctor asked me to let go, but I told them to leave her with me.”
Until now, Israeli bombardment has killed over 4,000 children. There are still many more ‘Inas’ in Gaza.
Darling, it’s time to wake up.
“My mom was bombed,” Julia, 3-year-old, stated. She is her family’s sole survivor. Wound Child No Survivor Family (WCNSF) is a new acronym for this phenomenon. She kept crying as she talked about her mother being killed by an Israeli air strike. She had no idea that she had become an orphan as a result of Israel’s false claim to ‘the right to exist.’ She is not okay; she suffers from not only trauma but also physical wounds.
Julia’s story isn’t the only one. More than a thousand children have been orphaned; at what point will the world react?
The Hasbara Project and how the world keeps it going
Israel’s bloody occupation has been whitewashed for 75 years. To cover their massacre in Palestine, Israel has used whitewashed propaganda known as hasbara. Hasbara, from the Hebrew word for “explaining,” is an attempt by Israel to gain widespread support for its agenda through public diplomacy. The right to self-defense is part of the Hasbara project, which gives Israel the legitimacy to kill civilian Palestinians.
The Western media uses the term “neutrality” to describe what is happening in Palestine as a conflict between two parties. It’s not a war, dear; it’s an occupation. Palestine and Israel are not equal in terms of power. It is the occupiers fighting against the occupied. When we call it a conflict, we are agreeing with Israel’s false claim of “the right of defense” to continue the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
Hasbara is the reason why Western leaders continue to support Israel on the basis of self-defense, and the Western media uses the same logic to blame Palestine in their news coverage or even create fake news. It also explains why many educational institutions have accused their students of being antisemitic because they oppose Zionism and support Palestine.
It’s better late than never
Finally, France’s current President, Emmanuel Macron, has acknowledged the humanitarian disaster in Gaza for the first time after repeatedly expressing his support for Israel’s genocide. Macron has called for a complete cease-fire rather than just a pause. The Arab world has also issued a resolution on the situation in Gaza through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) after 37 days of nonstop Israeli bombing. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) not only condemned the forced exodus of 1.5 million Palestinians from North to South Gaza but also advocated for the start of the peace talks.
Their support alone is not enough. The situation in Palestine requires more voices and concrete actions from international leaders. We need your help in pressuring them to end Israel’s endless standing. We demand your voice; now is the time to speak up if you haven’t already! People have demonstrated their support for Palestine in London, New York, Washington, Berlin, Sydney, Paris, Doha, Baghdad, Amman, Istanbul, Jakarta, and all over the world. It is now time for you. It’s better late than never.
Don’t ever stop talking about Palestine
Despite the occupation lasting 75 years, Palestinians never gave up hope for their freedom. So do we. We must not stop talking about Palestine, given that people all over the world are now starting to chant for Palestine’s freedom. Not only today but also tomorrow and the day after. We must never stop speaking out in solidarity with Palestine until they are free.
From the Hasbara project, we learn that Israel keeps echoing their lies through their fake propaganda to earn sympathy. And they had that sympathy. But now that people are capable of searching for accurate information on a massive scale, they are losing it. Israel could no longer be trusted because the world had learned the truth. However, once we stop talking about Palestine, Israel may be able to reclaim the world’s unfounded support. Our relentless cries and chants for Palestine are a must. They must never stop.
Your voice matters
Everyone’s voice matters. You don’t have to be an influencer to talk about Palestine. Do not tone down your voice. You are on the other side if you remain silent. When you are silent, you have Palestinian blood in your mouth. Silence means you agree with the oppressor. To keep silent means you have no
To put it bluntly, the Gaza genocide is not a test for Gazans. They have already passed their test. This genocide is a test for every human being on earth. A test for our humanity: do we pass? Or, better yet, do we have humanity?
Speak now! Your silence is murder.
